Rental Conditions
The following conditions apply to every Gold Car Rental hire. Please read them before you book — they explain what you need, what is included, and what is expected on return.
Driver requirements
- A full driving licence held for at least one year.
- A passport or national ID card.
- A credit or debit card in the main driver's name for the security deposit.
- Minimum age 21 for economy and compact cars, 23 for SUVs and 25 for luxury vehicles.
Deposit
A refundable security deposit is held on the main driver's card at pick-up and released after the car is returned undamaged, with a full tank and no outstanding fines. The amount depends on the vehicle category and is shown before you book.
Insurance
Every rental includes third-party liability and collision damage cover (CDW) with a standard excess. You may reduce the excess to zero by adding full protection at pick-up. Insurance does not cover loss caused by negligence, driving under the influence, off-road use, or an unauthorised driver.
Fuel
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank and must be returned full. If the tank is not full on return, we charge for the missing fuel plus a small refuelling fee.
Mileage
Standard rentals include generous daily mileage; unlimited-mileage options are available on request. Any extra kilometres are charged at the rate shown in your agreement.
Pick-up, return and one-way
Please return the car at the agreed time and location. A one-way fee applies when the drop-off location differs from the pick-up location. Out-of-hours or delivery pick-ups may carry a fee, shown before you confirm.
Damage, fines and breakdowns
The renter is responsible for traffic fines and tolls incurred during the rental. In the event of an accident, theft or breakdown, contact us immediately and, where relevant, the police. Do not authorise repairs without our agreement.
Cancellation
Standard bookings require no prepayment and can be cancelled or amended free of charge until pick-up.
